Wild Spring

Following on from the success of Wild Winter, Wild Spring takes a journey around the globe as the animal world awakens into the season of spring, bringing with it a burst of activity and a whole new set of rules. The series examines the blossoming of new life and with it, the vast and varied styles of parenting; an increase in predation, as with the arrival of new life comes opportunity; unique adaptations to flourish in the longer days and warmer weather; and finally, the survival of the species where the ever-changing environment brings new challenges to the fore. Each episode follows a journey from region to region, from the classic springtime scenes of blossoming European woodlands to the far polar north where the ground is under a constant cover of snow and ice, and the southernmost points of the globe where the season takes place at a different time of year, this time of renewal writes a different story in every corner of earth and each species copes with the change in its own unique way.
