The astonishing story of Ron, a 66-year-old autistic man who has spent the last five decades building a 50-room structure in his parents' backyard. Using no nails or mortar, Ron instead creates perfectly balanced structures from scavenged materials he finds in the woods outside his Western Pennsylvania home. When Ron's father passes away, his siblings are left to figure out what's best for Ron - who has never been officially diagnosed with autism - when his 90-year-old mother can no longer care for him. In an effort to find the money to keep Ron in his home, his friends team up in search of a mythical mansion Ron insists lays abandoned in the forest. But will they be able to find it? And, more importantly, does it even exist? This is the story of an extraordinary life, a family, and the beauty of thinking differently.

Sometimes another way of thinking is the spice of our lives. We can share this knowing some alternative lifestyles exist around us that are priceless and very beneficial, as even, perhaps, an art form. This Documentary captures this wonder beautifully. Thank You for sharing.
Very heartfelt and warm. A beautiful portrait of a man, his mind and loving community of friends and family around him. I am working on my own doc and felt totally inspired after viewing.
An intriguing doc about an intelligent autistic man who, as a mute child, found his voice and purpose through an unusual form of creativity. He garners the love and respect of family and friends who step up to the challenge of maintaining his comfort zone as his mother ages and his world is bound for change, something that he is not likely to cope with.
Amazing documentary about an amazing person.
Poignant and humbling, astonishing and educational. Deeply human. Unforgettable. Heart-changing.
