How to make one as bored as M. Bovary? How sad? I barely made it half way through this travesty in hopes that there would be something approaching acting. It is a puzzle to me that Sundance allowed this to take up space on its servers.
i should have read the reviews first. 😣 waste of time.
Don’t waste your time. I did.
It’s a classic story that defies film portrayals. Flaubert tells it with exquisite precision: the folly of self-delusion and willful disregard of basic values.
