Wow. I was blown away by this film - the slow pace, the intimate scenes between everybody (and not sexual intimacy, just human intimacy). It was so easy to understand how stifled Meira was and how she longed for adventure, yet when she got her wish, it was so clear that her new life was just as doomed as her previous one. There was no chance for happiness either way. Bleak, but real.
