A Walk in the Woods

Bill (Robert Redford), a celebrated travel writer, challenges himself to hike the Appalachian Trail—2,200 miles of America’s most unspoiled and rugged countryside—from Georgia to Maine. The peace and tranquility he hopes to find, though, is upended once he is joined by his long-lost friend Katz (Nick Nolte), a down-on-his-luck serial philanderer who has his own ideas about the adventure. The two men are about to push themselves, and each other, to their limits.
