A pleasant surprise. Kudos to Adrian Brody for holding the film together and to Diane Lane for her sultriness and fine performance as the beautiful mistress. Wonderful location shots, set dressing, and casting. Affleck did his own singing.

Looking back at hosiery pre-Internet, pre 2/47 news cycles, interesting movie from the perspective of a fictionalized south hired to find the 'truth' - based on 'real life' events trying to understanding one actor's death - George Reeves - it still leaves many unanswered questions - great film noir with old Hollywood flair - the accolades should have gone to Adrien Brody and Diane Lane to my knowledge not recognized by awards season - Ben Affeck has a good role but was really much to speak of in terms of meating role here......
