Friends with Money
Directed by Nicole Holofcener
Four women friends: three are wealthy and married, and then there's Olivia, a former teacher who's now a maid. The marriages are in various states of health: Franny and Matt are happy and very rich. Christine and David write screenplays together, are remodeling their house, and argue. Jane is angry all the time and Aaron, who's an attentive husband, strikes everyone as gay. Together, they must negotiate the waters of friendship, relationships, careers and money.
Three well-heeled married women and their single, financially challenged friend negotiate the waters of friendship, relationships, careers and money.
Cast: Frances McDormand, Catherine Keener, Joan Cusack, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Issacs
It was ok. Could have been so much more.
Very insightful view on friendships, relationships, and marriages including the differences in one's lifestyles and how they may or may not impact them. Good acting by all with a solid storyline.
I loved it. The cast is top notch and it’s a wonderful character study. I was pleasantly surprised.
good but not great.
Fun. Enjoyable to watch. Liked the characters and the storyline. Just a nice movie.
