Arianna

Directed by Carlo Lavagna

At the age of nineteen, Arianna still hasn’t had her first period. The hormones that her gynecologist has prescribed don’t seem to have any effect on her development. In the heat of the silent summer afternoons she spends time at the family’s hunting lodge in Tuscany. She starts inquiring about her body and her past, to finally face the true nature of her sexuality and identity.

An interesting look into the feelings of a true outsider finding their way into 'fitting in' by finally figuring out who they are...

Well felt and easy to identify with. Great locations and natural feelings of sexual and warm friendly people in natural settings. Beautifully composed. Highly recommended. Thank You.

A very moving film about a transgender young woman and her search to understand her body finally at eighteen. It made me understand the deep emotional problems transgender people face.
